To Sally Walton - selected in the England Squad for the Commonwealth Games in Delhi. Also, to Alastair Brogdon, also selected for the Commonwealth Games and who was in the England team that lifted Silver in the recent Champions Trophy - Well done to both of them.

Kukri North West Hockey League
The Kukri North West Hockey League need volunteer League Coordinators.
- The job is fairly simple and involves co-ordinating at least one Division.
- Acting as a team's first point of contact for any issue.
- receiving the match cards each week, collating them nd highlighting any problems.
- KNWHL provide the template for the spreadsheet.
- The commitment is four/five hours a month, coupled with a monthly management meeting. This meeting discusses League progress, problems and our response to the EH/North of England policies.
- Full training and support given

FUNDING FOR HOCKEY COACHING
Get Qualified NW is entering its second and final year and can reimburse 60% of a course fee to a maximum of £200 for a level 2 and £300 for a level 3 or equivalent course.
To apply individuals must:
- Live, work or volunteer in sport, outdoors or fitness in the North West of England
- Apply for funding in advance of the course starting
- Not be a full time student
- Be 19 years or over on day 1 of the course (no upper limit)
- All individuals have to do is book a place on a fundable course, meet the full criteria and apply online at www.getqualifiednw.org.uk
Courses must be certificated before the end of June 2011 and individuals are advised to apply as soon as possible to ensure support.
