The 2007 season, finished with the 1sts finishing 5th, a disappointing end, given the start the side had made to the season. Richard Wilkinson underlined the impact he made in the season by finishing as the leading batsman. Adam Syddall had a memorable year with Cheshire, and also again finished as Bowdon's leading wicket taker.

The 2nds struggled throughout, and underperformed even when a strong looking side was available. Jon Gray was the leading batsman, Rupes Kitzinger repeatedly showed his abilities with the ball despite his serious finger injury, to finish leading wicket taker.

The 3rds finished mid-table, a pleasing result given the encouragement of the younger players to play. Mark Pickup scored the most runs, whilst Sean Walters was inevitably the leading wicket taker.

Bowdon are delighted that Carl Hey has joined the Club from Liverpool Comp side Northern. Carl had a magnificent 2007 season, breaking the long-standing Comp record for most runs in the season. He also play minor counties cricket for Cumberland.

The AGM will be held on Wednesday 21st November, all club members are encouraged to attend.

Bowdon is keen to attract new players of any standard, anyone seeking further information please contact Andy Marshall at andrew.j.marshall@ukgateway.net

Bowdon are proud to have been awarded Clubmark accreditation . Many thanks to former Juniors chairman John Smith and all the volunteers, who have made this possible.
