CHRIS TODD - TOP TIPS FOR UMPIRES
Chris Todd is the best International Umpire to be produced from the North West. A Hightown men's hockey player, and no mean full back, he decided to concentrate on umpiring at a very early age. With more than 100 umpiring "Caps" he was presented with the FIH Golden Whistle. After retiring from the World Cup and Olympic Games Panel, in 1995 as a FIH Grade One International Umpire he has continued coaching umpires and is a EHB Level Three Umpire Coach.
So, based on Chris's 40 years of experience and his current observations of games we are fortunate to be able to publish his FREE Coaching Top Tips for all umpires. The first two are published below and Chris has promised more in due course.
